He lends his significant cultural weight to a topic that we at the Angling Trust are just as keen to endorse – that your mental health and wellbeing can be improved by getting out and spending time in the natural world. Anglers strive to be inconspicuous, this enables us to become all the more immersed in our watery, nature rich environments whether it be fresh / stillwater, riparian or marine. There can be very few interests, sports or hobbies that reward the participant with such a beneficial restorative experience as Angling.
